In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2020 No. 710, the population census in test mode is planned to be held from November 1 to 25, 2021 in the Khojaabad district of the Andijan region, the Yukori Chirchik district of the Tashkent region, the city of Khiva, the Khorezm region and the Yashnabad district of the city of Tashkent.

On April 7, 2021, at the headquarters of the khokim sector of the Altynkul district, the head of the Department for the organization and conduct of the census processes of the Andijan region statistics department held an event to implement the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 710 of November 11, 2020 “On measures for the preparation and conduct of the population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023”.

Dialogue with the people, organization of work, study of problems on the ground and search for their solutions on the basis of a new system developed at the initiative of the Head of State Shavkat Mirziyoyev - "Mahallabay" and "Fuqarobay", serve, first of all, to improve the well-being of the population.

On April 6 this year, a webinar was held at the Center for Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Service (TurkStat) on the exchange of experience in Trade Statistics.

On April 6 of this year, the Statistics Department of the Kagan and Romiton districts of the Bukhara region, with the participation of teachers and students of the secondary school No. 9 of the Kagan district and the teachers of the music school of the Romiton district, held a seminar on the topic: “The relevance of the population census”.

On April 6 this year, a joint video conference was organized between the State Committee on Statistics and the Tashkent State Economic University.

In order to study the process of preparation for a pilot population census in November 2021 in the republic on April 6 of this year, a seminar was organized under the leadership of Vladimir Leonidovich Sokolin, Chairman of the CIS Statistical Committee and Bahodir Abdusalomovich Begalov, Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics.

According to the State Committee on Statistics, at the beginning of the 2020/2021 academic year, the total number of vocational schools was 339. In total, 79.0 thousand students study at these vocational schools.

On April 5 of this year, the Department of Organization and Conduct of Census Processes of the Department of Statistics of the Syrdarya Region at the Gulistan State University organized a training seminar on the topic: “Measures taken in our country to prepare for the population census in 2023”.

In January-December 2020, according to the State Committee on Statistics, the share of investments made by enterprises and organizations without attracting funds, at their own expense, in the total investment in fixed assets in the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to 25.7%.

According to the State Committee on Statistics, for the period from January to March 2021, 9,213 divorces were registered in the republic.

On 5 April 2021, in Uzbekistan’s 726 makhallas, an exercise to collect vital data on the socio-economic well-being of women, children and households will start.

At the beginning of the 2020/2021 academic year, there were 339 vocational schools in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the largest number of them registered in Samarkand region (37), and the smallest in the city of Tashkent (6).

In order to mitigate the negative consequences of the global pandemic in Uzbekistan, measures are being taken to involve all segments of the population in regular physical education and sports,
