The National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan has made changes to the procedure for forming data on the average price of plov and the content of the published data.
In accordance with this, based on observations conducted in February 2025 in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions, and the city of Tashkent, the preparation and publication of information on the average prices of key ingredients used for preparing plov, as well as the average cost of 1 kg of plov by region based on these average prices, has been organized. The quantity of ingredients used for preparing plov has been conditionally determined, taking into account regional characteristics.
Prior, statistical authorities published the average prices for one serving of plov sold in "plov centers," as well as the average prices for 1 kg of plov by regions, which were conditionally calculated based on this data.
