On November 2 this year, at a summit hosted by the London Open Data Institute (ODI), an exchange of views took place on how people react to data.

This summit was also attended by Akrom Sultanov, Head of the Department for Monitoring and Coordination of the Open Data Portal of the State Committee on Statistics.

As noted at the event, over the past year, the role that data plays in our lives has become more visible, from the news we read to apps in which we communicate about our health and the services we use every day.

We have all become "data people" - more than ever aware of the data we produce, use and transmit, and the decisions that are made using data about us.

Data will never again be the property of an expert minority. It is increasingly becoming the lifeblood of businesses, communities and society at large. And when these teams work together, the data becomes much more valuable to everyone.

During the summit, information was also provided on how to collect and share data, how to use the data, the skills we need to use and understand, and other issues.
