On December 17, the State Committee on Statistics organized a seminar on additional measures to further develop the Open Data Sector in the Republic of Uzbekistan and ensure the transparency of government agencies and organizations, as well as the effective implementation of public control.
The seminar was attended by the head of the Department of Audit and Expertise of Digital Economy and e-Government Projects of the Center for e-Government Project Management of the Republic of Uzbekistan Maksumov Doniyor Mikhayminovich.
During the seminar, discussions were held on the effectiveness of the work being done in our country to further develop the Open Data Sector. The development of a new version of the Open Data Portal in the further development of the open data sector is a clear proof of our opinion.
At the seminar, a number of comments were made on what results should be achieved through the development of open data in our country.
Also, increase the transparency of public authorities and the implementation of the concept of "Open Government", informing foreign investors about the opportunities and potential of the country and thereby attracting investment, the formation and development of tourism services, the participation of civil society in the formation and organization of socio-political institutions.
It was suggested that the quality of life of the population could be improved by raising the level of access to information.
