In accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2020 No. 710 “On measures to prepare and conduct a population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023”, August of this year, the task was set to carry out work on compiling lists of housing.

In this regard, starting from August 4, in all regions and cities of the republic, about 7,000 registrars began work on compiling lists of residential buildings and non-residential premises where the population can live, as well as studying mahalla maps for their compliance with the real situation on the spot.

As a result of these activities, unnumbered houses in mahallas, nameless streets, unmapped residential buildings, demolished houses, new residential and non-residential buildings under construction, where the population can live, will be identified, and maps of mahallas will be updated. This will form the basis for the development of an organizational plan for the census.

Registrars will work until 31 August. The registrar process will be updated regularly.
