As of October 1, 2022, in all categories of farms in the Surkhandarya region, the total number of cattle amounted to 973.4 thousand heads (102.0% compared to October 1, 2021), of which 356.1 thousand heads are cows ( 102.2%), sheep and goats - 2,493.2 thousand heads (102.4%), horses - 15.1 thousand heads (103.7%) and birds - 4,991.8 thousand heads (105 ,5 %).
