The Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan on January 17-19 this year in Tashkent, within the framework of the project “Transition from the informal economy to the formal economy”, implemented jointly with the International Labor Organization, organized a training on international standards of labor statistics.

The training was attended by senior officials of the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Also, the training was attended by a senior specialist of the Department of Statistics of the International Labor Organization (Geneva) Vladimir Gantsa.

The training covered the following questions:

- familiarization with the international standards of labor statistics adopted at the XIX and XX International Conferences of Labor Statisticians (ICLS), as well as innovations that are planned to be discussed at the XXI International Conference on Labor Statistics, which is expected to be held in 2023;

- analyzed the degree of compliance of the methods/means used at the national level with international statistical standards;

- the stages of improving the statistical tools for collecting and processing data are considered.

At the end of the event, detailed answers were given to questions of interest to the participants on the topic.
