On January 25 of this year, an expanded meeting of the Collegium of the State Committee on Statistics was held at the State Committee on Statistics following the results of the of 2022. It was attended by the leadership of the State Committee on Statistics, the leadership of the Institute for Advanced Training and Statistical Research, heads of sectoral and territorial Statistics Departments, as well as employees of territorial Statistics Departments via remote video communication.

According to the agenda, the Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich, opening the meeting of the Board, spoke about the tasks assigned to the state statistics bodies in the documents and instructions of the President and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as about the effectiveness of the work carried out in the system in the of 2022.

Also at the meeting, in accordance with the agenda, on the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to further improve and develop the national system of statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan” dated August 3, 2020 and the “National Strategy for the Development of Statistics for 2020–2025”, information was provided on tasks assigned to the bodies of state statistics.

At an organized online meeting, instructions were given on the work carried out within the framework of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated November 11, 2020 No. 710 “On measures to prepare and conduct a population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023”, priority tasks for ensuring the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On census."

Separately, a pilot agricultural census was noted, conducted in August 2022 in the Jombay district of the Samarkand region and the Parkent district of the Tashkent region in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. experiment in the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

At the expanded meeting of the board, detailed information was also presented on the Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) conducted by the State Committee on Statistics and the representative office of the United Nations International Children's Fund UNICEF in Uzbekistan.

Also, at the expanded meeting of the Collegium of the State Statistics Committee, information was provided on the ongoing work to combat corruption in the system.

Following the meeting of the Board, organizational issues and executive discipline were considered. It was also decided to take appropriate measures in relation to employees who did not fulfill their duties in a timely manner and to encourage employees whose work is roughly adjusted.
