On February 9 this year, a presentation was held at the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the results of participation in an international seminar on the topic “Statistics of National Accounts”, organized by the International Monetary Fund and the Joint Vienna Institute on January 23-February 3, 2023 in Vienna (Austria).
In the presentation, employees of the Agency for Statistics J. Mekhmonov the head of the Division of current accounts, H. Mamatmuradov the deputy head of the Division of the formation and analysis of macroeconomic indicators, F. Berdiyorov Chief Specialist of the Division of Formation and Analysis of Macroeconomic Indicators, D. Kushchiev chief specialist of the Division of current accounts made a presentation on international experience in national accounts statistics.
Based on the knowledge and skills gained at the international seminar, the speakers spoke about the experience gained on reserves and accounting rules, the basic principles of price and volume measurement, supply and use tables.
In addition, concepts were given on issues such as purchase prices and base prices, capital changes, stock valuation, balancing supply and use tables.
During the presentation, information was also given on the statistical activities and experience of other countries, ongoing work to improve the skills of employees.
