According to preliminary data, as of January 1, 2023, the number of sheep and goats in all categories of farms in the republic reached 23.6 million heads and increased by 2.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2022.
Analysis by category of farms shows that 78.5% of the total number of sheep and goats fall on dekhkan and subsidiary farms, 14.8% - on farms, 6.7% - on organizations engaged in agricultural activities.
