On February 16 this year, at Termez State University, the Department of Statistics of the Surkhandarya region of the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a seminar on preparations for the population census and the demographic state of the region.
The seminar was attended by the leadership of the Department of Statistics of Surkhandarya region, teachers and students of the university.
At the event, Deputy Head of the Department of Statistics M. Rakhmonov provided detailed insights into the content of the concept of demography and labor statistics, the formation of statistical reporting, the population and its composition, the number of births, deaths, marriages and divorces, and natural population growth.
Information was also provided on the main goals and objectives of the population census in our republic, on the preparatory processes carried out in this direction.
Specialists of the Department of Statistics answered the students' questions in detail.
