According to preliminary data, in January-December 2022, all categories of farms produced 2,420.7 thousand tons of melons, or 105.9% compared to 2021.
A significant share of the total volume of melons belongs to the Surkhandarya region (13.6%). At the same time, high production rates of melons were noted in Jizzakh (11.6%), Syrdarya (11.5%) and Andijan (8.3%) regions.
