At the end of 2022, the gross regional product (GRP) of the Syrdarya region amounted to 18,136.8 billion soums and, compared to 2021, increased by 5.0%.
In this region, positive growth rates were noted in agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 103.3% (share in the GRP structure - 39.4%), industry - 109.5% (24.9%), construction - 100.5% (8.0%) and the service sector - 105.0% (27.7%). GRP per capita increased by 2.9% and amounted to 20,433.5 thousand soums.
