As of March 1, 2023, the total number of operating enterprises and organizations (excluding farms and dekhkan farms) is 495,696 units, of which the number of private enterprises is 72,790 units, which is 14.7%. The highest rates in terms of the number of private enterprises were recorded in the following regions:
Kashkadarya region - 9,559 units.
Tashkent city - 8 848 units
Ferghana region - 8,520 units.
Samarkand region - 6,485 units.
Surkhandarya region - 5,891 units.
By type of economic activity, private enterprises were distributed as follows:
in trade - 31,397 units.
in industry - 12,041 units.
in the accommodation and catering industry - 5,994 units.
in construction - 5,038 units.
in agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 4,684 units.
