On May 3 this year, the director of the Agency for Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhodir Abdusalomovich Begalov visited the Samarkand region in order to study the activities of territorial statistical offices.
First, having familiarized themselves with the activities of the departments of the regional department of statistics, appropriate instructions were given for the high-quality and timely implementation of the tasks defined by the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On official statistics” and sectoral legal acts.
The formulated statistical indicators of the socio-economic situation of the districts and cities of the Samarkand region were discussed. The data prepared by the district and city departments of statistics were considered. The Director of the Agency for Statistics gave special instructions to the employees on the aspects that should be paid attention to in the process of forming and analyzing the socio-economic indicators of the territory. Timely updating of tables representing macroeconomic indicators of regions and cities was noted.
During his visit to Samarkand region, the director of the Agency for Statistics got acquainted with the process of preparing for the population census, with the ongoing propaganda work among the public, gave suggestions and instructions for further increasing activity, thorough preparation.
In turn, the director of the Statistics Agency provided the staff of the Price Monitoring Department of the Department of Statistics of the Samarkand region with his proposals and recommendations on the correct and timely conduct of price surveys in the territorial central dehkan markets, the use of tablets in data generation and other statistical surveys.
