On May 5 of this year, the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a seminar dedicated to the participation of the agency's representative in the 4th United Nations World Data Forum, which was held from April 24 to 27 in Hangzhou, China.
At this seminar, the Head of the Monitoring and Coordination Department of the Open Data portal, A. Sultanov, said that the following topics were discussed at the 4th World Data Forum:
- use and implementation of large volumes of data “Big Data” into statistical practice and improvement of data quality;
- assistance in the formation of the market of applications and services functioning in the form of open data on the world information network Internet;
- budget savings in the development of socially useful services;
- expanding opportunities for information exchange between government agencies;
- Creation of an information base for the implementation of the concept of "Open Government";
- development of civil society through the possibility of monitoring and monitoring the activities of state bodies.
At the end of the event, answers to the participants' questions were given.
