As of May 1, 2023, the total number of operating enterprises and organizations (excluding farms and dekhkan farms) is 488,761 units, of which the number of private enterprises is 70,033 units. The highest rates in terms of the number of private enterprises were recorded in the following regions:
Kashkadarya region - 9 314 units.
Ferghana region - 8,693 units.
Tashkent city - 8 592 units
Samarkand region - 6 428 units.
Surkhandarya region - 5,663 units.
By type of economic activity, private enterprises were distributed as follows:
in trade - 29,978 units.
in industry - 11,506 units.
in the industry of accommodation and catering - 5,615 units.
in construction - 4,708 units.
in agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 4,637 units.
