On May 15-19 of this year, the CIS Statistical Committee for the first time organized an international student Olympiad in statistics as part of the "I International Student Festival of Statistics" at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Moscow. Two teams from Uzbekistan took part in it.
At this festival, teams from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Uzbekistan will compete in a three-stage competition.
In addition, the festival provides for the establishment of cooperation with higher educational institutions and research institutes of other countries in the field of statistics.
The main goal of this event is the formation of qualified personnel for the field, further strengthening of the position of statistics, further development of scientific cooperation between foreign students.
Students of the Institute for Training and Statistical Research of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan take part in the student Olympiad as part of the International Festival of Student Statistics.
In particular, our representatives won in the nominations "Best Regional Analysis" and "Creativity in Scientific Research".
