On June 6-8 this year, the delegation of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, at the invitation of Eurostat, participated in a seminar to study the experience of the European Statistical System in the implementation of the "European Code of Practice" and quality assurance standards. The seminar was held in Krakow, Poland.

The seminar was attended by representatives of the statistical offices of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, as well as experts from Eurostat.

During the seminar, experts presented the best practices of the European Statistical System in the implementation of the "European Code of Practice" and compliance with quality assurance standards.

Also, representatives of the statistical offices of the countries participating in the seminar had the opportunity to present national experience on separately identified issues. In particular, the delegation of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan made a presentation on improving the quality of institutional environment and statistical processes.

At the presentation, representatives of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan briefed the event participants on the results of ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan in terms of improving statistics, progress achieved and plans for further development.

Based on the results of participation in the seminar, the delegation presented its recommendations to the responsible departments of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on further actions in matters of compliance with quality assurance standards.
