As of June 1, 2023, the total number of operating enterprises and organizations (excluding farms and dekhkan farms) is 480,415 units, of which the number of private enterprises is 68,428 units. The highest rates in terms of the number of private enterprises were recorded in the following regions:
Kashkadarya region - 8,812 units.
Ferghana region - 8,477 units.
Tashkent city - 8 447 units.
Samarkand region - 6,176 units.
Surkhandarya region - 5,557 units.
By type of economic activity, private enterprises were distributed as follows:
in trade - 30,157 units.
in industry - 10,719 units.
in the housing and catering industry - 5,506 units.
in construction - 4,498 units.
in agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 4,452 units.
