On June 22-23 this year, the 71st plenary session of the Conference of European Statisticians took place in Geneva, Switzerland. The conference was attended by heads of international organizations and national statistical offices of countries, representatives of scientific and academic circles and the statistical community, members of the European Conference of Statisticians.

The annual International Conference of the National Institute of Statistics brings together statistical experts from national statistical offices, international organizations and academic institutions.
The representative of the agency took an active part in all the discussions held within the framework of the 71st general session and met with the heads of a number of partner organizations and experts.
In particular, a meeting was held with the Chairman of the CIS Statistical Committee Laikam Konstantin Emilevich.
At meetings with representatives of the main partner organizations, statistical capacity building, open data, full reflection of Uzbekistan's statistical indicators in international databases and other issues were discussed.
The participation of a representative of the Agency for Statistics in this conference serves as an important factor in the gradual introduction of international best practices in the field of statistics in the Republic of Uzbekistan and serves as an important factor in the development of the industry.
