As of January-May 2023, in the Surkhandarya region, 79.3% of households have children under 16 years old.
Of them:
- families with one child - 16.0%;
- families with two children - 23.9%;
- families with three children - 24.4%;
- families with four or more children - 15.0%.
According to the survey, 20.7% of households do not have children under the age of 16.
