In order to study the experience of Poland in organizing and conducting the agricultural census, a study visit was organized on June 19-23, 2023 in Warsaw, the Republic of Poland.
This event was attended by representatives of the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the International Center for Strategic Development and Research in the field of food and Agriculture (ISCAD), as well as the European Union Agricultural Support Program (“ASK Facility”).
During the visit, the representatives got acquainted in detail with the experience for the preparation and conduct of the agricultural census in the Republic of Poland.
In particular, the responsible employees of the Statistical Office of Poland provided information on the legal framework for the agricultural census, developed normative and methodological documents, the census questionnaire, the selection and training processes of temporarily involved persons in the agricultural census, the outreach activities carried out on the census, information and communication technologies used during the census, information collection software, its processing, the formation of the results of the agricultural census, etc.
At the same time, a visit was made to the Ministry of Agriculture and development of rural areas in Poland. Representatives of the Ministry presented a brief overview of the formation of departmental information related to the agricultural sector.
