On July 4, 2023, a press conference was held at the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the topic “Report on the work carried out under the Static Work Program”.
The press conference was attended by the management and heads of departments of the Agency for Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, employees of the Institute for Training and Statistical Research, media representatives and bloggers
As noted at the press conference, the Agency for Statistics organizes its activities on the basis of the Law "On Official Statistics" and the statistical programs developed in accordance with it. Conducting statistical observations, formation and dissemination of statistical data in the field of official statistics, developed annually, taking into account the needs of national and foreign users in statistical data.
In accordance with the Program of Statistical Works, in January-June 2023, 1,744 statistical works were completed on time, of which 907 were carried out by statistical agencies.
In total, the agency formed 748 indicators, of which:
macroeconomic indicators and balance sheets - 254;
indicators of sectors of the economy - 310;
indicators of the social sphere - 108;
Unified State Register of Enterprises and Organizations - 76.
In the direction of improving the methodology and coordination of the industry, 111 statistical works were carried out.
Also, the exchange of open statistical data on 46 international questionnaires was provided.
At the same time, 374 administrative data were transferred to statistical bodies by other ministries, departments and organizations for the preparation of official statistics.
In addition, 463 statistical papers were prepared and disseminated by other compilers of official statistics within their competence.
In January-June 2023, 21 questionnaires of international organizations were completed, including 7 of the UN Statistics Division, 2 of the UN Economic Commission for Europe, 3 of the UNESCO Institute for Statistics, 1 of the International Telecommunication Union and 7 other international organizations.
In addition, Uzbekistan's indicators were timely updated in 4 international databases, in particular, within the framework of the general information dissemination system of the IMF, the CIS, "COMTRADE" and "TRANSMONEE".
In particular, the data of the Republic of Uzbekistan on more than 3,000 items of goods are updated monthly in the UN COMTRADE database on trade in goods.
The work performed in accordance with the Program was regularly provided to national and foreign users in the form of open statistical data, newsletters, collections, press releases, as well as through the media, official websites and social networks.
More than 400 sets of statistical data in a number of statistical areas have been published in the "Official statistics" section of the official website of the Agency.
It also published 68 press releases, 2 quarterly newsletters and 4 monthly brochures.
The agency published 6850 news on the official “Telegram” channel and on the “Facebook” page, as well as 270 news on the Instagram page. 180 news items were posted on the official YouTube page.
In addition, more than 180 infographic videos and a video about statistical activities were continuously broadcast on the TV channels “Uzbekiston 24”, “Uzbekiston”, “Uzreport”.
More than 20 materials with statistical indicators have also been published in Khalk Suzi, Narodnoe Slovo, Yangi Uzbekiston, Pravda Vostoka, Stock Exchange, Ishonch and other publications.
In total, 30 sample statistical observations and 98 statistical reports were used by the statistical authorities in the formation of official statistics.
