On August 3 of this year, a presentation was held by employees of the statistical agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan following a working meeting held jointly with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus in order to study the experience of the Republic of Belarus in organizing census areas for the population census.
In the presentation, the chief specialist of the department for organizing and conducting population census processes Sardar Huseynov and the chief specialist of the department for the development of information and communication technologies and interactive public services Zufar Toymasov, who took part in this practical meeting, presented their knowledge and skills and the final results to the agency staff.
The speakers informed the participants about the use of electronic cartographic data in preparation for the census, about the complexity and ease of use of ArcGIS when dividing the territory into census and enumeration areas, including online monitoring of census takers.
At the end of the seminar, the participants received answers to their questions.
