On October 23-27 of this year in Moscow (Russian Federation), the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE), with the support of the United Nations Population Fund, organized a seminar on the advanced training program “Population and Development” for government officials and researchers CIS countries.

Representatives from 7 CIS countries took part in the professional development program: Uzbekistan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan.

From the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the deputy head of the Department for the formation of indicators of the balance of labor resources, employment and remuneration of the Department of Demographic and Labor Statistics, Aliya Tairova, took part in the seminar.

During the event, the advanced training program was taught by leading scientists and specialists from the National Research University Higher School of Economics and Moscow State University.

Lectures were held on the following topics: demographic transition; sustainable development goals; problems of mortality and public health; trends in fertility and family formation; migration and development; demographic changes and labor market; demographic aging and active longevity; gender inequality and development.
