According to a sample survey by the Statistics Agency, as of January-November 2023 in Surkhandarya region, 81.6 % of households have children under 16 years of age.
Of them:
households with one child – 19.7 %;
households with two children – 24.8 %;
households with three children – 23.2 %;
households with four or more children – 13.9 %.
According to the survey, 18.4 % of households do not have children under the age of 16.
