According to preliminary data, in January-September 2023, only 1,606.6 thousand tons of melons were produced in the republic.
This figure increased by 3.4 % compared to 2022.
The largest share in the total production of melons falls on the Surkhandarya region (13.6 %).
Also, high rates were recorded in Jizzakh (12.4 %), Syrdarya (12.0 %) and Kashkadarya (11.5 %) regions.
