On January 15-26, 2024, a seminar was held at the Joint Vienna Institute in Vienna (Austria) on the topic “Institutional Sector Accounts”.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the statistical office and the central bank from the countries of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Latvia, Moldova, the Republic of North Macedonia, the Republic of Kosovo, the Republic of Montenegro, the Republic of Serbia, Turkey, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Republic of Uzbekistan.
The seminar was attended by the Deputy Head of the Department of Macroeconomic Indicators and National Accounts, Umarzhon Shavkatovich Obidov, and the Deputy Head of the Department for Coordination of Statistical Assessment of the Shadow Economy, Gafurov Bakhodir Pulat Ugli, from the Statistics Agency.
The main purpose of the seminar was to exchange experience between the participating countries, improve the knowledge and skills of participants in the calculation of accounts of institutional sectors, as well as study methods for improving the sources of information necessary for the compilation of these accounts.
At the end of the seminar, participants received answers to their questions.
