On January 30, 2024, an online event was held dedicated to the “Annual Consultation on Gender and Transport”, organized by the International Transport Forum (ITF).

The event was attended by more than 95 representatives of statistical departments, ministries of transport and research institutes from Europe, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Africa, North and South America.
From the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Head of the Department of Demographic and Labor Statistics, Zoyir Yuldoshev, and the Head of the Department of Service Sector Statistics, Abdugafur Mirzakhidov, took part in the event.

Since 2016, the ITF's annual consultation on gender and transport has provided a platform for the exchange of views between specialists and the academic community on issues related to gender equality in the transport sector and other aspects of the work of the International Transport Forum.

The main purpose of the seminar was to discuss the ITF work program for transport research for 2024-2025, a new approach to mainstreaming gender perspectives in research projects, developed on the basis of the ITF gender toolkit for transport policy.

Also presented are countries' experiences in collecting gender-sensitive transport data and the issue of climate change, which will be discussed at the upcoming 2024 Greening Transport Summit.
