On February 1 of this year, a presentation was held on the results of participation in a seminar by employees of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, organized by the International Monetary Fund and the Vienna Joint Institute in Vienna on the topic “Accounting for institutional sectors.”
The head of the Department for Formation and Analysis of Macroeconomic Indicators, Umarzhon Obidov, and the Deputy Head of the Department for Coordination of Statistical Assessment of the Shadow Economy, Bahadir Gafurov, who participated in this seminar, presented the acquired knowledge, skills and final conclusions to the Agency employees.
Participants in the presentation were presented with the conceptual foundations of the system of national accounts, the sequence of accounts in the system of national accounts, information on the basics of compiling accounts, as well as information and experience on the statistical activities of other developed countries.
During the presentation, an exchange of views on the topic took place, and answers to questions of interest from the participants were given in detail.
