On May 29 of this year, the 21st International Conference of Specialists of the National Statistical Services of the CIS countries on the development of labor Statistics began in the city of Dushanbe of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The conference is attended by representatives of the national statistical services of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Serbia, representatives of the CIS Statistical Committee, representatives of the national statistical services of the CIS countries, representatives of international organizations (International Labour Organization, United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, UNFPA, UNICEF), the CIS Executive Committee, The Research Institute of Statistics of Rosstat, as well as representatives of ministries and departments.
A delegation led by the Director of the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Begalov Bahodir Abdusalomovich is also taking part in this conference.
As part of the event, the 69th meeting of the Council of Heads of Statistical Services of the CIS member States will be held on May 29. According to the agenda of the meeting, the "Reports on the activities of the Council of Heads of Statistical Services of the CIS member States for 2020-2023" prepared by the Commission on Economic Affairs of the CIS Economic Council, a report on the activities of the Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States for 2023, on the progress of work on the implementation of the CIS Statistics Development project, on the Olympiad according to statistics, on amendments to the work program of the Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States for 2024, on the 70th meeting of the Council of Heads of Statistical Services of the CIS member States and other reports.
Within the framework of these events, the head of the Statistics Agency will hold bilateral meetings with heads of statistical departments of a number of states, representatives of international organizations and experts, as well as discuss issues of mutual cooperation.
During the negotiations and meetings, information will be provided on Uzbekistan's experience in the field of labor statistics, as well as a presentation on this topic is planned.
It should be noted that the issues addressed during these events are important in the implementation of large-scale reforms in the field of statistics in our country.
