On June 4 of this year, an online meeting was held on the topic “A Primer on Developing a Data Strategy” within the framework of the Data Strategy Sprint program of the UN Network of Economic Statisticians, organized by the UN Statistics Division.
The online meeting was opened by Mr. Stefan Schweinfest, Director of the UN Statistics Division. During the webinar, experts from the national statistical offices of Canada, New Zealand, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates made presentations.
From the Agency Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the online meeting was attended by the Head of the Department of Organization and Methodology of Statistical Works Dilshod Zakirov, the Head of the Department of Monitoring and Coordination of the Open Data Portal Akrom Sultanov and the Deputy Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Data Exchange Ulugbek Noipov.
The main purpose of this webinar is to enhance the technical capabilities of participants in developing, maintaining, and implementing data strategy best practices.
The webinar also considered the possibility of better managing and using data in various processes through a successful data processing strategy.
