On July 30 of this year, an extended meeting of the Board was held at the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the results of the 2nd quarter of 2024. It was attended by the management of the Statistics Agency, representatives of the Institute for Advanced Studies and Statistical Research, heads of the central office, as well as employees of regional statistics departments via remote video communication.
According to the agenda, Director of the Statistics Agency Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich, opening the meeting of the Board, spoke about the tasks assigned to the statistical authorities in documents and instructions of the President and Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as about the effectiveness of the work done in the system in the 2nd quarter of 2024.
According to the agenda, information was presented at the meeting on the implementation of the tasks assigned to statistical bodies in the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 4, 2024 “On measures to organize the activities of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.”
The issue of generated statistical indicators of the socio-economic situation of districts and cities was also discussed. The Director of the Statistics Agency gave employees separate tasks on aspects that should be paid attention to in the process of forming and analyzing the socio-economic indicators of the territory. Timely updating of tables representing macroeconomic indicators of districts and cities was noted.
Following the meeting of the Board, organizational issues and executive discipline were considered. Also, it was decided to reward employees who performed their work approximately, and appropriate measures were taken against employees who did not fulfill their duties in a timely manner.
