On July 31 of this year, the Committee on Information Policy and Transparency in State Bodies of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Statistical Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the OSCE project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan, the Open Data Watch, Open Data Charter and Women in Tech Uzbekistan, held an international webinar on the “Learning International Best Practices to Improve Open Gender Data in Uzbekistan”.
The purpose of the event is to promote knowledge exchange through the exchange of best practices in international and national contexts to improve the collection, analysis and dissemination of gender information, aimed at increasing the awareness of national stakeholders in Uzbekistan on the importance of open gender information in the development, equitable development and information policies.
Also, determining effective strategies for facilitating the exchange of knowledge between Uzbekistan and world experts, solving obstacles and implementing best practices.
At the end of the vebinar, the experts answered questions on the topic in detail.
