On August 7 of this year, an online meeting of Information and cybersecurity specialists from the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic took place.
For reference: Exchange of best practices and organization of bilateral meetings between the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic are provided for by a Memorandum of Understanding and cooperation in the field of statistics signed in Tashkent, October 6, 2017.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Data Exchange – Noipov Ulugbek, Head of the Department of Information and Cybersecurity – Djanadilov Shakhboz and employees of the department, as well as Deputy Director of the Intellectual Data Center of the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic - Kolbaev Erkin, Chief Engineer of the Department of System Administration and Management - Sabirov Khamid, Engineer of the Department of System Administration and Management - Artem Konyukhov, Specialist in information security and data privacy protection of the National Statistical Committee - Artur Aspecov and expert of the GOPA Consulting Group Valieva Nina.
The topic of the meeting was the discussion and exchange of experience in ensuring "Audit and cybersecurity" in the National Statistical Offices of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
Representatives of the Statistics Agency presented a presentation on the topic: "Ensuring information security in the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan".
Following the presentation, the parties discussed current practices in the field of information and cybersecurity, received answers to questions of interest and agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
