On September 18, 2024, the Statistical Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a presentation on the results of the regional seminar on climate change and biodiversity accounting for Central Asia and the Caucasus, organized on September 9-12, 2024 in Bishkek (Kyrgyz Republic) The United Nations Statistics Division and the United Nations Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific, with the support of the Office of the Director General in statistical policy planning, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of the Government of Japan and in cooperation with the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Yuldoshev Begzod, Head of the Department of Industry Statistics, and Dehkanova Nigora, Chief Specialist of the Department of Agriculture and Ecology Statistics, who took part in this regional seminar, familiarized agency staff with relevant accounts related to climate change and biodiversity, including reports on energy, atmospheric emissions, carbon emissions, ecosystem scales and ecosystem services.


Also, during the event, an exchange of views took place according to the topic and answers to the participants' questions were presented in detail.
