Today, on December 18, a meeting was held with Mr. Andrew Gray, head of the mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Uzbekistan at the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This meeting was attended by the heads of the central office headed by the deputy director of the Statistics Agency, Zokhidzhan Ziyayev, the head of the representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andrew Gray, and the senior specialist in migration data and research, Shahzod Nazarov.
At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of mutually beneficial cooperation, in particular, the possibility of organizing migration statistics in accordance with international standards, providing technical assistance and attracting international experts.
It was also agreed on the exchange of experience, sharing of existing migration statistical data and cooperation.
