On December 18, an online meeting via videoconference took place between the Statistical Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.

The meeting was attended by Mira Nikich, Deputy Director of the Statistical Office of Serbia, Head of the International Cooperation Department, Nikola Orlik, Representative of the International Cooperation Department, Marko Grujičić, Head of the Artificial Intelligence and Web Technologies Department, Nevena Mitrović, Deputy Director, Representative of the Development Department, Aleksandra Skoko Despanić, Head of the Software and Database Integration System, Olya Muzik, Deputy Director, Representative of the Data Distribution and Administrative Resource Integration Department, and Nikola Kapetanović, Web Data Specialist.

From the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the meeting was attended by Ulugbek Noipov, Head of the International Cooperation and Information Exchange Department, Shahboz Janadilov, Head of the Information and Cybersecurity Department, Zoyir Yuldashev, Head of the Demography, Labor, and Gender Statistics Department, and Shohrukh Odilov from the Department of Digital Technologies and Interactive Services Development.

For information: It is worth noting that the bilateral cooperation between the Statistical Office of Serbia and the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is being implemented based on a memorandum on mutual understanding and cooperation in the field of statistics, which was signed on March 4, 2020, in New York.

The meeting discussed promising directions for bilateral cooperation, including the collection of statistical data via CAPI technology, the application of digital technologies to official statistics, and the integration of data systems.

Plans to strengthen bilateral cooperation, exchange experiences, and apply digital technologies were discussed during the meeting.
