On December 18th of this year, a presentation was held at the Statistics Agency on the results of the meeting of the expert group on expanding economic opportunities for women, organized under the U.S. Department of Commerce's Business Law Development Program (CLDP).


This seminar was held on December 12th in Istanbul, Turkey. The seminar was organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce and attended by representatives of state and non-governmental organizations from relevant countries, including the U.S., Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, as well as the U.S. Department of Commerce's Trade Law Development Program (CLDP) representatives for Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and Pakistan, the U.S. Trade Representative, the U.S. Census Bureau's International Programs Center, technical assistance organizations, and international experts.

The main goal of the seminar was to examine the experiences of the Central Asia regional working group in expanding the economic opportunities of women, particularly innovative practices for using administrative data, the problems observed, and their solutions.

During the presentation, Zoyir Yuldoshev, head of the Department of Demography, Labor, and Gender Statistics, shared insights from the seminar, including opportunities for obtaining gender-disaggregated data for businesses and its impact on international trade, the current state of gender-disaggregated data related to expanding women's economic opportunities, its quality formation, and the current status of gender-disaggregated data in Central Asia. Additionally, he discussed the necessary directions for this field and shared new knowledge and experiences gained in measuring women's labor.
