On April 7 of this year, a meeting was held at the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a delegation from the International Monetary Fund's technical assistance mission on government finance statistics and public sector debt statistics.

The event was attended by responsible staff members of the central office led by the Deputy Chairman of the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ziyayev Zokhidjan Muratovich, along with Emmanuel Ramatuba, senior economist of the IMF and head of the delegation; Ivana Jablonska, IMF Advisor on Government Finance Statistics and Public Sector Debt Statistics; Irina Dubinina, responsible specialist; Bekzod Ulugov, Head of the Department for Maintaining Government Finance Statistics and Ensuring Budget Transparency of the Ministry of Economy and Finance; and Levan Gogoberishvili, economist of the real sector division of the IMF Statistics Department, who participated remotely.

The meeting addressed joint cooperation with the International Monetary Fund on classifying institutional units in the economic sector and ensuring the alignment of indicators with international standards.

Additionally, the importance of expanding collaboration in this field, continuing technical assistance, and ensuring the formation of comprehensive and accurate data in this area was emphasized.
