In recent years, special attention has been paid to the development of domestic tourism in our country. During meetings chaired by the President, the importance of expanding the potential of domestic tourism, increasing interest in our historical monuments and cultural heritage, and boosting the number of local tourists has been underscored as a key priority. In particular, at a videoconference dedicated to enhancing the tourism capacity of the regions and accelerating joint investment projects with foreign partners, it was emphasized that one Saturday and Sunday each month should be designated as "Family and Workplace Travel Days."

In line with this initiative, on June 14 of this year, a trip to the ancient and unique Bukhara region was organized at the initiative of the Trade Union of the National Statistics Committee. Nearly 50 employees from the Committee’s central office took part in the journey.

During the trip, participants visited Bukhara’s renowned pilgrimage sites, including the sacred “Seven Saints” shrines, as well as the historical and cultural landmark — the Lyabi Hauz complex.

Such initiatives play an important role in organizing employees’ leisure time meaningfully, fostering a healthy national identity in society, and preserving our historical heritage for future generations. Moreover, these trips contribute to enhancing efficiency and promoting teamwork in the workplace.
