According to Presidential Decree No. PF-27 of February 24, 2025, in order to introduce an effective mechanism for training qualified specialists for the national statistical system, starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, a branch of the Department of Economic Statistics of Tashkent State University of Economics is to be established at the National Statistics Committee.
On September 11 of this year, the opening ceremony of the branch of the Department of Economic Statistics of Tashkent State University of Economics was held at the National Statistics Committee.
The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Committee Z. Ziyayev, responsible staff of the central office, as well as the leadership, professors, teachers, and students of Tashkent State University of Economics.
During the event, a memorandum of cooperation between the Committee and the University regarding the branch was signed. Students were also introduced to the “call center” established at the Committee. It was emphasized that students of this field would be involved as operators to respond to respondents’ inquiries during the reporting period. This will provide them with an opportunity not only to acquire theoretical knowledge in the learning process but also to gain direct practical experience.
Overall, the establishment of this branch will ensure the integration of science and practice for students and contribute to the training of modern specialists for the field.
