From 13 to 17 July of this year, a delegation from the Ministry of Data and Statistics of the Republic of Korea is visiting Uzbekistan. The visit has been organized within the framework of the project to modernize the statistical infrastructure of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The National Statistics Committee is hosting working meetings focused on the current status of the project, the work completed to date, and the next stages of implementation. The meetings are attended by responsible officials of the Committee and representatives of the Korean delegation.

The discussions cover the progress of the project components, existing technical and organizational issues, further improvement of the statistical data collection system, and upcoming tasks.

Particular attention is being paid to the introduction of the Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing system — CATI, the development of a consultative framework in this area, professional development for specialists, and the expansion of expert support.

The visit also includes discussions on training programmes, experience-sharing activities, and future areas of cooperation planned for the second half of 2026.

The working meetings are aimed at ensuring the timely and high-quality implementation of the project, introducing modern technologies into statistical processes, and further strengthening bilateral practical cooperation.
