On August 27 of this year, a round table was held at the National Statistics Committee with the participation of representatives of ministries and departments dedicated to improving the monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) indicators.
During the round table, information was presented on the system for monitoring SDG indicators in Uzbekistan, the formation and updating of national indicators, data sources, and the role of ministries and agencies in this process.
Additionally, participants were given clarifications on national and international data sources for SDG indicators, the mechanism for their inclusion in international assessments, as well as on the SDG Index, which is compiled by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) .
Following the event, representatives of ministries and departments exchanged views and proposals on improving data exchange for SDG indicators, ensuring consistency between national and international data, and further strengthening inter-agency cooperation.
