On December 19 of this year, a meeting was held in the statistics department of the Republic of Karakalpakstan to prepare for the population census.
The event was attended by the leadership of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics and the Statistics Department of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, heads and responsible employees of sectoral and territorial statistical departments.
Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics M. Ziyadullaev informed the meeting participants about the work carried out in pursuance of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2020 No. 710 “On measures to prepare and conduct the population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023”.
Also, in pursuance of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 625 of July 24, 2019, instructions were given on the preparation, together with the relevant departments, of maps of selected makhallas for conducting “Multi-indicator cluster observation in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2020-2021”.
As a result of the meeting, relevant proposals and recommendations were given on the implementation of regional development programs, ensuring the maintenance of reliable statistical reporting, deep and systematic data analysis.
The tasks for broad coverage on the Internet and the media of complex statistical and analytical information reflecting the development of the region have been determined.
