The Bukhara State University hosted a seminar on "The Essence and Significance of the Population Census".

On April 16, 2021, a training seminar with students of the Inha University was organized in the State Committee on Statistics via videoconference on the topic: “Measures being taken in our country to prepare for the population census in 2023”.

At a meeting on measures to improve national statistics chaired by the head of state on June 1 2020 year, the issue of human resources was raised, and instructions were given to train and improve the skills of all specialists of the statistical system.

On April 20 this year, a mediatour on the study of the processes of multi-indicator cluster surveys (MICS) was held in the "Ahillik" makhalla of the city of Gulistan, Syrdarya region.

According to preliminary data, the total volume of products (services) in agriculture, forestry and fisheries in January-March 2021 amounted to 29 891.6 billion soums, including in crop production and livestock, hunting and the provision of services in these areas – 28 215.8 billion soums, forestry - 1 419.9 billion soums, fisheries - 255.9 billion soums.

On April 22 this year, a joint video conference was organized between the State Committee on Statistics and the Tashkent State Economic University.

The resident population of the Republic of Uzbekistan as of April 1, 2021 amounted to 34 695,6 thousand people and, since the beginning of this year, has increased by 136,7 thousand people, or by 0,4%, In particular, the urban population reached 17 581,6 thousand people (50,7% of the total population), rural – 17 114,0 thousand people (49,3%)

According to the State Committee on Statistics, in January-March 2021, 91 electric vehicles were imported to Uzbekistan from abroad. This is 78 more than in the same period last year.

The highest level of average monthly wages was observed in financial and insurance activities and amounted to 6 464.9 thousand soums, which is 2.2 times higher than the national level, and the lowest - in health care and the provision of social services and amounted to 2 048.6 thousand soums or 71.2% of the republican level of average monthly wages.

On April 21 of this year, the Statistics Department of the Samarkand Region, together with the Regional Department for Support of Mahalla and Family and the Regional Department of the State Cadastral Chamber, organized a press tour to prepare for the population census.
