At the end of 2021, the total area of protected natural areas in the republic amounted to 3457.8 thousand hectares.
When analyzing this indicator by regions, 74.9% of the total area fell on the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 18.6% - on the Tashkent region, 2.4% - on the Kashkadarya region and 2.0% - on the Jizzakh region.
The share of small business (business) in the Republic of Uzbekistan for January-March 2022 in the total volume of industrial production amounted to 21.6%, of which most of them are small enterprises and microfirms 16.7%. In terms of territories, the largest share was noted in the Samarkand region - 37.7%.
