At the beginning of the 2021/2022 academic year, 510,046 teachers work in general educational institutions of the republic. 53,1 % of teachers work in rural schools and 46.9% in urban schools. 9.9% of the total number of teachers working in general education institutions have secondary specialized education and 90.1% have higher education. It should be noted that on average there are 12 students per teacher in general education institutions of the republic.

More than half of construction work in Uzbekistan is carried out by small businesses and micro-firms

In January-May 2022, the share of construction work performed by small enterprises and microfirms accounted for 59.9% of the total volume of construction work, which decreased by 0.3% compared to the corresponding period in 2021.
According to preliminary data, by the end of 2021, the share of gross fixed capital formation in GDP reached 35.2% and increased by 10.8 percentage points compared to 2017 data.
In January-March 2022, a total of 1.6 trillion soums of investment in fixed assets was disbursed in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, an increase of 5.7% compared to the same period in 2021.
According to preliminary data, by the end of 2021, the share of net taxes on products amounted to 7.2%, and decreased by 0.2 percentage points compared to the data of 2020, and by 3.8 percentage points compared to 2017.
