From August 1 to August 31 of this year, a pilot agricultural census was carried out in the Dzhambay district of the Samarkand region and the Parkent district of the Tashkent region.
These events were organized in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On measures to prepare and conduct registration work in the field of agriculture as an experiment in the Republic of Uzbekistan" dated April 19, 2022 No. 197.
During the trial census, trained census takers, visiting the locations of economic entities, conducted an oral survey with respondents and, based on their answers, enter information on tablet devices.
The census takers also informed the population in detail about the goals and objectives of the agricultural census and about the main legal acts governing the conduct of the census.
The results of the pilot agricultural census will serve as the basis for making important decisions on the preparation and conducting an agricultural census in the future.
